II-4  Sove Multi-step Inequalities of First Degree

Page history last edited by PBworks 3 years, 10 months ago

This tutorial is a review od Standard II-IV, solving multi-step inequalities to the first degree. When solving multi-step inequalities to the first degree you follow the same rules as solving equations.  The only difference is if you multiply or divide by a negative number you have to reverse or flip the inequality sign. First you add or subtract to isolate the term with the variable. Then you multiply or divide the terms in order to solve the inequality.
